A poster advertising a fight between “Bronies” and Juggalos went viral on Tuesday, making the front page of Reddit.
“Bronies,” a portmanteau of “bro” and “pony,” are male fans of the “My Little Pony” show, which has developed into an Internet meme popular on Reddit and imageboard site 4chan over the past few years.
And Juggalos are followers of the rap-rock group Insane Clown Posse or any other Psychopathic Records group. Followers of the subculture have their own slang and even have a gathering every year.
The poster appears to have been placed somewhere in Lexington, Kentucky. The “gangsterous Kenwick Bronies” part appears to reference the Kenwick neighborhood of the city, while the “North-Side Juggalos” references the area of Northside. The Redditor who posted has the name “KentuckyforKentucky.”
The “street fight” will be held at the Commonwealth Stadium parking lot, which is also located in Lexington, the poster claims.
The poster features both members of the Insane Clown Posse and characters from “My Little Pony.”
“The streets will run orange with Faygo,” wrote one Redditor, referring to the soda that is distributed at Insane Clown Posse shows.
“I’m imaging a huge table with punch and snacks, with all the bronies on one side, and all the juggalos on the other, just milling around all awkwardly. Like a middle school dance,” another wrote.
