Broncos Tight End Vernon Davis Surprises 18-Year-old Cancer Patient With Super Bowl Tickets

Denver Broncos fan Alex Walter, an 18-year-old being treated for cancer at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, had his dream come true of meeting a Broncos player when tight end Vernon Davis stopped by for a visit on Jan. 30, according to a report on

But that’s not the end of the story.

Davis then returned days later to give Alex—who had never seen his Broncos play in person—a pair of Super Bowl tickets. The tickets were provided by Davis and Levi’s Stadium.

Alex, who is from Montana, was ecstatic as expected, saying his excitement is “over the moon.”

Davis was overcome with emotion himself.

The hospital had posted a picture of Alex’s plea to meet a Broncos player on its Facebook page. He was then stunned when Davis showed up, as captured here:
