CINCINNATI, Ohio—“Tonight was unbelievable!” exclaimed Ms. Betty Cobb after attending Saturday evening’s presentation of Shen Yun. She and her husband Mr. Tony Cobb joined the full house that greeted Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company for their final performance this season at Cincinnati’s Aronoff Center for the Arts, on Feb. 4.

“I’m just mesmerized by how beautiful everything was,” added Ms. Cobb. The Mary Kay Cosmetics Director was visibly touched by the beauty of the performances.

Mr. Cobb shared his appreciation of the New York-based company’s world-renowned presentation of story-based performances which depict ancient Chinese legends and folk dances. These reveal the breadth of Chinese culture. “It captures the 5000 years of history, and transports you to another time or another era. It’s a beautiful show. So well done, so precise, so charming—it’s very nice!”

He thoroughly enjoyed the Shen Yun Orchestra—a fusion of Eastern and Western instruments. “I love the music; I thought the music was absolutely outstanding.”

He felt transported by the beauty of the performances and said, “It almost feels like you are in another world ... because you are so immersed in it when you look at all the beauty.”

Referring to the performance, Flower Fairies, Mr. Cobb elaborated, “You know, women becoming flowers. I mean, it’s like, ‘Oh my gosh look at that!’ The dancing and the choreography was amazing.”

In this performance, dancers glide across the stage like petals adrift in the wind. Airy and almost weightless, they evoke a divine grandeur, according to the company’s website.

Touched by the depth of the performances, Ms. Cobb said, “Anybody that likes art needs to see this. Every scene was different. Every piece of every scene is like a whole work of art!”

Mr. Cobb added, “It’s just totally enjoyable. Very nice, very peaceful.”

Ms. Cobb summed up her experience of seeing Shen Yun, “Brilliant! We are so glad we came. We are so glad we came!”
