An ultimate catfight has just begun! Rather than competing for a better-looking boyfriend or a prettier evening dress, Liv (Kate Hudson), a successful attorney, and Emma (Anne Hathaway), a schoolteacher, both persist on an extravagant wedding at the famed Plaza Hotel.

At New York’s ultimate bridal destination on exactly same day, two weddings have been scheduled right across the hall from each other. Yet neither of the girls are willing to relent on the date.

This drives a pair of childhood best friends to suddenly hate each other and tamper with each other’s bridal hair dye and fake tan. With twists and turns, the duo’s lifelong friendship is now put to a critical test. The two of a kind seem to have transformed overnight from their ordinary selves to two ambitious “bridezillas” with their outrageous sides fully exposed.

“Bride Wars” is a classic girl’s film with strange plot twists and a sparkle of humor and embarrassment. Though over the top, (as movies often are), most people can relate to conflicts with loved ones that start over trivial matters.

As expected, the film reigns itself in from the ridiculous quite neatly when its time to steer the plot toward resolution. While this film won’t make any “best films of the year lists,” its definitely worthy of a girl’s night out.
