Brianna Anderson, a pregnant Tampa woman who was shot on Wednesday afternoon, delivered a healthy baby later in the day.
Anderson, 22, was shot at North Boulevard Homes apartments, across the street from Blake High School, and had lost her heartbeat by the time police arrived, reported TBO.
Paramedics revived her.
She is on life support at Tampa General Hospital, and the baby was delivered by C-section shortly after she arrived.
“The baby is doing well,’’ said Tampa police department spokeswoman Laura McElroy. “It looks like the baby is going to make it.’’
The suspect in the shooting has been arrested.
The suspect’s name hasn’t yet been released.
