Brian Austin Green, who currently has a role on Desperate Housewives, recently revealed that his new wife Megan Fox helped improve his self-confidence.

“Megan was a big part of boosting my confidence,” he told Details magazine in its October edition. “And at the same time, I was somebody responsible and grounded for her to be around. We just matched.”

Green used to star on the 1990s hit show Beverly Hills, 90210 and said after the show was over, he did not like being associated with the character that he portrayed. He used to play the nerdy teenager David Silver on 90210.

“I was afraid of the press,” Green added, after the show ended. “I was afraid of people’s opinions of me. I would walk into a Coffee Bean and not want to look the guy behind the counter in the eyes because I was afraid he was thinking, ‘Oh, that’s that ridiculous guy from 90210 who put out the hip-hop album.’”

But Fox helped changed all that for him. Green has an eight-year-old son named Kassius, who Fox helps raise.

“She is absolutely my better half in parenting,” he said. “She just gets it. It’s instinctual for her.”
