[xtypo_dropcap]A[/xtypo_dropcap]fter going through a brain hemorrhage and a stroke, the “American Idol” guest performer and “Celebrity Apprentice” winner Bret Michaels decided to get back to work on his new album, tour and reality series, and said that he is “feeling pretty good.”

Along with the release of a few singles, including one featuring Miley Cyrus earlier this year, Bret Michaels seems to be well prepared for the final release of his new album “Custom Built”, which is scheduled on July 6. The new album will include both new songs and covers with lyrics written by the artist himself. Bret decided to go on tour to promote the album despite the fact that doctors suggested he wait another three weeks. The rock singer vowed in a recent interview with PopEater that he will stay away from alcohol, keep taking medicine, and “get to the hospital,” if anything happens.

Regarding the possibility of replacing Simon Cowell on “American Idol,” Bret Michaels feels that he would be glad and honored to give musicians advice that will help them to succeed in the music industry in the long run. He described Simon Cowell as an amazing judge with “brutal honesty.”

Bret Michaels is known for his work with 1980’s pop-rock band Poison as a singer and songwriter. Michaels is also recognized for work as an actor, as well as a television personality. Michaels has lived with diabetes his whole life; it is unclear how this will relate to his brain injury.
