Braverman Announces ‘Redress Scheme’ for Child Sexual Abuse Victims

The government has announced plans to set up a redress scheme for victims of child sexual abuse.

Home Secretary Suella Braverman said on Monday that the government will consult victims and survivors and draw on lessons from other jurisdictions to “deliver justice and an appropriate form of redress.”
