RIO DE JANEIRO—Brazil and Chile face off today for the round of 16 World Cup match, showing that the  South American continent is having an excellent performance in the championship.

Brazil was ranked first in Group G, beating South Korea 2–1, Ivory Coast 3–1 and drawing 0–0 with Portugal. Coach Dunga’s team will play with their stars Kaka and Robinho, and their fans are expecting an exciting game and believing in victory.

“It will be a good game. I believe in Brazil 3–1 Chile, ” said Victor Brandão Camargo, 14 from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

“If Brazil does not take care, it can lose a goal at any time. We may not ever play closed, but also can not open up much room to Chile, which is a dangerous team. We have to worry about individual players such as Valdivia and Humberto Suazo who are very good players,” he added.

Chile was ranked second in Group H, beating Honduras and Switzerland 1–0 and losing to the Spanish fury 2–1 in their last match of the group stage. Chile knows that today it is going to face a dangerous opponent with a long history of victories.

“Brazil has proved down the years that they’re a team to be feared, but in this World Cup they’ve also shown that in addition to their usual creative style, they now boast combativeness and strength,” said Chile coach Marcelo Bielsa on FIFA.com.

In this World Cup rankings are not having much significance on the field, which has been made clear by such unexpected eliminations of Italy and France in the group stage. Moreover, many famous goalkeepers have already been victims of the curse of Jabulani soccer ball.

The lovers of the most famous sport in the world can prepare their hearts for another exciting spectacle in world soccer as Brazil faces Chile this afternoon.
