Brad Thor, the bestselling author of “Hidden Order” and other books, offered to purchase acquitted Trayvon Martin shooter George Zimmerman “whatever gun he wants” and would present it to him on television, he said on Twitter.

“How many people would like to see me buy a new gun in Chicago and present it on TV to George #Zimmerman?” he wrote on Twitter.

The move apparently stems from the Department of Justice’s decision to put a hold on all evidence in the case, which includes the gun that Zimmerman used to fatally shoot Martin in February 2012.

“Read this carefully, as I don’t want 2 be misunderstood: SCREW the #DOJ. If they won’t give #Zimmerman his gun back, I'll buy him a new one,” Thor wrote.

He also wrote that he would buy Zimmerman “whatever gun he wants + however much ammo, consider it done,” and described it as a “done deal.”

A follower of Thor, SJ Duncan wrote that “@BradThor Thanks for speaking the truth. I'll buy the holster.”

He was asked about the offer on Friday morning on “Windy City Life.”

“At what point do we let an American citizen get done with the justice process?” Thor said. “I mean this is a big deal, this could happen to anybody. If the government can keep hounding you, this guy’s life is ruined at this point. I know we have a dead child here but he was found not guilty by a jury of his peers. Trayvon Martin wasn’t on trial, George Zimmerman was, and he’s not guilty…at what point does he get to recommence his life?”
