Boy Killed in Shootout Outside La Habra Walmart

LA HABRA, Calif.—Police July 8 are searching for the suspect or suspects who fatally shot a boy and wounded a man in a Walmart parking lot in La Habra.

Officers with the La Habra Police Department were called at 8:35 p.m. Friday to 1340 S. Beach Blvd., south of Imperial Highway, regarding reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, they found the victim and the man with gunshot wounds, according to a police department statement.

Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics were called but the boy died at the scene.

The man was taken to UCI Hospital in an unknown condition. Their ages were not known.

There was no suspect information available.
