Boondocks Season 4 Episode 1: January 4 Air Date Was Wrong

January 3, 2014 Updated: July 18, 2015

The Boondocks season 4 premiere release date appeared to have been officially confirmed, with some fans of the show saying that the air date was January 4 at 11 p.m., based off the Adult Swim website, but it turned out to be a re-run.

Season 4 is slated to premiere sometime this month but the official start date is still up in the air.

UPDATE: Boondocks Season 4 Episode 1 Air Date Officially April 21

The hit show from Aaron McGruder follows the Freeman family, who moves from Chicago’s south side to the suburb of Woodcrest.

Season 3 ended on August 15, 2010.

The last episode, “It’s Goin’ Down,” had Huey, the main suspect in an imminent terror attack near Woodcrest, going on the run while he was pursued by a high-ranking secret agent.

Correction: An earlier version of this article misrepresented the air date for episode 1 of the new season as being officially confirmed. However, as the present version of the article states, episode 1 didn’t air on January 4. Epoch Times apologizes for this error.
