Blue Wiggle Anthony Field was rushed to hospital in the U.S. after an unfortunate mishap at the end of the group’s tour on June 19.
The 55-year-old entertainer collided with a revolving door after entering it the wrong way and was taken by stretcher to Tuft Medical Centre in Boston.
He ended up receiving 12 stitches to the nose.
The father-of-three, however, seems to have bounced back. He took to Instagram to thank medical staff who came to his assistance, sharing a photo of his bandaged nose while he was being stretchered into an ambulance.
“Big thank you to the ambos and Doc Rice at the Tuft Medical Center in Boston!” Field wrote.
“12 stitches in my nose after walking the wrong way into a revolving door!”
Field, who co-founded the now hugely successful children’s entertainment group in 1991, is the only remaining original band member.
The Wiggles has just finished its 12 city U.S. tour and are now heading to Canada for seven more shows before returning to kick-off a tour back in Australia at the end of June.
In 2007, the entertainer spoke out about his life-long battle with depression, describing how it made him feel isolated despite his fame.
