A blue Nissan possibly being driven by alleged kidnapper James Lee DiMaggio may have been spotted in Washington state on Thursday.

Washington State Patrol Trooper Russ Winger told KOMO Radio that a driver near the town of Bremerton told Winger that the driver saw a blue Nissan hatchback with a man driving and a woman passenger.

The sighting was about 40 miles northwest of Seattle.

Winger checked the area but wasn’t able to locate the car.

“It’s pretty much unconfirmed at this point,” Winger said. “It was just a motorist that thought they saw a vehicle similar to that.”

A previous possible spotting was on Wednesday in southern Oregon.

DiMaggio is accused of murdering Christina Anderson and possibly her son Ethan and kidnapping her 16-year-old daughter Hannah.

A amber alert has been extended from California to Oregon, Washington, Nevada, and Canada and Mexico.
