NEW YORK—After a snowfall that was recorded at 20 inches in Manhattan’s Central Park, with high winds creating drifts several feet deep, New York City is wrapping up this holiday season in a very wintery fashion.
All area airports were closed down Sunday night. Metro North Railroad halted service on all three lines running north out of the city. The MTA ran a limited bus service on Monday and several subway lines experienced delays due to iced-over tracks on Sunday night and into Monday morning. Some passengers on the A train were stranded for seven hours Sunday night near JFK Airport.
