Bieber’s court cases on both sides of the U.S.-Canadian border might not just lead to more scrutiny by judges and prosecutors, but could also complicate the pop star’s jet-setting ways. Legal experts said the decision by Toronto authorities to charge Bieber with assault on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, makes the singer’s legal situation more complicated and difficult to untangle. A satire article titled “Blake Griffin Smacks Justin Bieber At Hollywood Starbucks” went viral this week--but with the help of Lakers player Chris Kaman.

Kaman tweeted the satire article a few days ago.

“I was sitting in the corner of Starbucks and Blake did not smack Bieber! Well at least not that hard...” Kaman wrote on Twitter.

“It’s funny how some of u ppl believe anything...” he continued.

The article is from Empire Sports--a satire blog that publishes fake sports news stories--and it states, “A barista at the coffee house was apparently confronted by Bieber when he refused to serve the pop star because he wasn’t wearing a shirt … According to the police report Bieber started cussing at the barista and threatening to have his bodyguard [beat him up].”

It adds: “Fortunately for Goldsmith, LA Clippers star Blake Griffin had been enjoying a drink at a table when he witnessed the altercation and stepped in,” it continues, adding that Griffin “smacked the [expletive out of him.”

The website has fake stories including “Michael Vick Hospitalized In Pit Bull Attack” and “Eli Manning Diagnosed With Down Syndrome.”

The article was shared thousands of times before Empire Sports went down, but people still tweeted about it and posted updates on Facebook.

The story was also republished on blogs and other websites.

“Even more of a reason to love blake Griffin,” one person wrote in the comments section on Empire Sports.

“Kid feels entitled to everything and that the world owes him,” said another.

Another wrote, “He needs a good physcatris and a long rest in the nut house.”

According to the website Gossip Cop, Bieber has not been in Los Angeles for several weeks..

A source who is close to the Canadian singer said that the rumor is “made up,” adding that “Justin has not returned to Los Angeles [for weeks].”
