Blake Cook, a Saugus High School, was killed on Saturday morning in an Interstate 5 crash, according to reports.

Cook, 18, was killed after 4 a.m. when he jumped from a car after it was involved in a traffic accident, the California Highway Patrol told the Santa Clarita Valley Signal.

Cook was one of two passengers in a Honda when it hit a semit truck.

“While attempting to exit the roadway, (Cook) was struck and fatally injured by an unknown type of vehicle that fled the scene, northbound on Interstate 5,” CHP Officer Sanchez said.

Eddie Camargo, the driver of the Honda, was arrested on driving under the influence and drugs, AM 1220 reported.
