Is it ‘Bleak’ or Into the Black?

Some posited that this year's "Black Friday" (the name given to the day after Thanksgiving, traditionally the  biggest shopping day of the year) might be "Bleak Friday" as shoppers reined in holiday gift-buying because of the current financial uncertainty.

Judging by the turnout at this Macy's in New York, retailers need not worry.
