Bill Mazer Dead: Longtime NYC Sportcaster Dies at 92

Bill Mazer, a longtime sportscaster in New York City, died at age 92 on Wednesday.

Mazer died at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut.

Before he retired in 2009, he spent more than six decades in broadcasting, reported the New York Times.

He covered sports for many of those years, including an innovative talk show format on WNBC, where he encouraged callers to call in and talk to him.
