The Vicksburg, Mississippi native used the Biggest Loser Meal Plan to help him lose 181 pounds, according to a joint statement between the NBC show and eDiets.com.

"I don't have to stare at my cabinets trying to figure out what to eat. I don't have to weigh food or measure," House said, lauding the meal plan. "It's quick; it's simple; it's awesome and I know exactly the nutrition that I'm putting into my body."

The Biggest Loser Meal Plan offers 5-day or 7-day-week meals that are delivered right to the door of dieters, and is also used by Biggest Loser finalists Ada and Elizabeth, the statement said.

House, a former college football player who dropped from 400 pounds to 219 pounds in just half a year, told US Magazine that he would be using his prize money to those close to him that loaned him money after he lost his job this year.

"I lost my job in January, so a lot of the money is going to pay back my family and friends that I borrowed from just to live this year," he told the magazine. "I'm going to get my family back on our feet and start my new life."

House explained on the show that he aspires to use his experience to help overweight children and teens with their obesity issues, and will work at a South Carolina school that specializes in assisting students.

The Biggest Loser winner told People magazine that he would be taking his wife Bradley on a vacation to celebrate the win.

"At the end of the week, we are going to have a good vacation just to relax before Christmas," he said, according to People. "Bradley and I are about to celebrate our five-year wedding anniversary. What better way than as the Biggest Loser?"
