Big Rig Drives Off Highway Near Houston, Flips Over on Car

A big rig drove off the overpass on Highway 59 in Sugar Land, Texas---near Houston---on Thursday, Jan. 11, ABC13 reported.

Emergency crews are on the scene of the accident near University Boulevard and Highway 59, the report stated.

Photos posted online show the truck flipped over near the overpass on Thursday afternoon.

Officials told the ABC affiliate that the accident first involved three vehicles. The truck then drove off the overpass, crushing another car, and the debris from the impact hit a fifth vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle crushed by the truck was able to crawl out of the wreckage. He was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, the report stated.
