The Big Bang Theory season 8 is set to start in about a month, and besides Sheldon the one thing most fans are wondering about is Penny and her wedding and possible pregnancy.
It has been confirmed that the wedding will not happen early in the season.
Penny’s first goal is to put the date far enough in the future so everyone knows she’s not pregnant,” executive producer Steve Molaro told TVGuide.
But that doesn’t mean that Penny (Kaley Cuoco) will not be pregnant at all. In fact, the actress wants to get pregnant soon in real life, which could translate into her character becoming pregnant as well.
Cuoco and her husband Ryan Sweeting married on New Year’s Eve in 2013, and they’re thinking about having children as they approach their one-year anniversary.
“I can’t wait, he can’t wait,” she told Women’s Health magazine. “I feel like I’m meant to be a mom.”
Cuoco also emphasized that she sees herself playing Penny or a similar role for years to come.
“You know, not all of us are chameleons that can do every different thing,” the actress said.
“I hope I’m going to be typecast. I will play the girl next door for the rest of my life if I have to. I always kind of feel like I have that in my pocket when I go in a room. Like, ‘Fine, I’m going to go back to this amazing job that’s shredding and love it.’”
