Penny may have a new hair style in The Big Bang Theory season 8.
The season, which will premiere in the fall, will include a number of changes, including the resolution of the cilffhanger involving Sheldon.
But a big aspect to fans might be a change to Penny’s signature style.
Kaley Cuoco (Penny) told TVLine that she had just gotten a haircut for the first time just prior to the show’s wrap party–and when she walked in, the producers “loved it.”
She has since evolved the look into “an outright pixie cut,” and has thus far not heard any criticism of the look.
“I’m hoping Penny will keep the haircut, that’s my goal,” Cuoco told TVLine.
“The finale wasn’t a ‘To Be Continued,’ so I don’t see any problem with it. People change, people get haircuts, so I think this is a realistic move for Penny. Fingers crossed!”
Meanwhile, in regards to Sheldon, executive producer Steve Molaro says that he’s “off riding the rails like a hobo.”
“We thought it would be interesting to take an episode and sort of systematically chip away at Sheldon and break him down to the point where he just needed to leave to process everything,” he said.
And for anyone who thinks that Sheldon isn’t affected by what happened, Molaro issued a correction: “It will have some effect on him.”
