Singer Beyonce and rapper Jay Z revealed their twins via Instagram on Friday, confirming their names: Rumi and Sir.
It’s the first look at the couple’s new children. The two have another child, Blue Ivy.
The photo features the singer holding the twins in an elaborate floral arch, harking imagery of a Renaissance Madonna.
“Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today,” she wrote in an emoji-laden caption for the photo. The picture generated millions of “likes” on Instagram in a short while and, as of Friday afternoon, it has more than 7 million.
Rumi might be a reference to Persian poet Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī, who lived in the 13th century.
