Ben Briley from Gallatin, TN was eliminated from American Idol, which leaves the show with 10 contestants headed into next week.
Briley was in the bottom three in voting, along with Sam Woolf and Majesty Rose.
Briley told Ryan Seacrest that he was worried after seeing the results.
Referring to his performance of Elton John’s Bennie & the Jets, he said, “I really wanted to be different and show people that I can do other things. It was a gamble.”
The singer sang Grace Potter’s “Stars,” trying to convince the judges to save him, but they opted not to.
Keith Urban told Briley that the judges would have had to see more consistent growth in order to use their save on him.
The remaining 10 are Woolf, Rose, MK Nobillette, Jena Irene, Dexter Roberts, Caleb Johnson, Malaya Watson, Alex Preston, C.J. Harris, and Jessica Meuse.
