Beef Jerky Products Recalled Due to Misbranding and an Undeclared Allergen

A Massachusetts firm is recalling hundreds of pounds of beef jerky and related products, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said this week.

The products contain “milk, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label,” the agency said.

The jerky products were produced on various dates between Dec. 18, 2017, and Jan. 31, 2018, according to the USDA.

They have the number “EST. 00948M” inside the USDA mark of inspection on the product.
