A bear stole a dumpster outside of a German restaurant in Colorado Springs, Colo., which was captured on video.

“He just grabbed right onto it,” Dieter Schnakenberg with the Edelweiss Restaurant on Thursday, told THV-11. “There’s just something about a bear taking a trash Dumpster away.”

He said the bear walked to the back of the restaurant twice in the past week.

“We’ve only had [the system] for a few weeks now,” Schnakenberg said, referring to his restaurant security system.

“He must like our food. He does take out,” co-owner Helga Schnakenberg told the station. “It looks like he’s using a shopping cart.”

In the video, which was posted by the restaurant on its Facebook page, the bear is shown jumping up on its hind legs and sniffing in the dumpster before it rolls it away.

“Intruder stealing the dumpster last night,” Edleweiss wrote. “WOW. This must be the Mama.”

The restaurant is located near downtown Colorado Springs.

Several weeks ago, a bear entered a bar in Estes Park, Colorado.

“I guess nothing seemed palpable so he just kept going,” Estes Park local Daniel Lyell told CBS on July 25. “He didn’t think too long before he started walking into the bar.”
