Bay Bridge Closed: Traffic Moving Again After Suspicious Package Found

The Bay Bridge was closed down on Friday afternoon, amid reports of a suspicious package.

ABC-7 television reported that both lanes were closed down as officials investigation.

The closing happened at 3 p.m. PDT--the bridge partially re-opened around 3:24 p.m. PDT, according to 511.

All lanes are open on Westbound I-80 on the Bay Bridge, while the Eastbound I-80 lane and ramp remain closed at Treasure Island road, it said. 

Motorists are advised to expect delays and to use alternate routes.
