Matt Damon has come forward to deny rumors that he’s slated to play Aquaman in the upcoming “Batman vs Superman,” known by some as “Man of Steel 2.”
Damon’s close friendship to Ben Affleck, who is playing Batman, helped fuel the rumors that Damon is involved with the blockbuster film.
While Damon denied the rumors he also joked about dressing up as Robin an interview with CNBC Meets.
“Since they made Ben Batman, I’ve been showing up at his house every day dressed as Robin, but my little campaign I don’t think has gone too well so far.If dressing up in yellow tights somehow moved the needle on this issue, I would be willing to do that,” he said. “I’ve done sillier stuff.”
Damon also said that he believes Affleck will do a good job.
“I have seen a picture. It’s excellent,” he told MTV News about the Batsuit. "And I’ve talked to him about the story line, and it’s great.
“Look, I’ve known him for thirty-something years. I‘d be the first guy being like, ’Buddy, what are you doing?' But I think the movie is going to be great.”
Along with Affleck, Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman as will Amy Adams with Lois Lane.
Gal Gadot (“Fast and Furious” series) will play Wonder Woman, while Jesse Eisenberg will play Lex Luthor (“The Social Network”) and Jeremy Irons (“The Man in the Iron Mask”) will play Alfred.
