Batman v Superman crews have been spotted in New Mexico, where a set piece has been built after weeks of work.
Filming recently wrapped in Illinois including Chicago, and was then set to move to New Mexico.
Producers originally planned to film rugged scenes in Morocco but later opted for southwest New Mexico near Deming.
The “African village scene” set in the state was captured in aerial photos and video.
Some fans have been speculating that the scene is actually Themyscira, home of Wonder Woman and the Amazons, while others say that it could be Kahndaq, possibly a scene in Egypt where Superman swoops in to stop some civil war in the Middle East.
One of the film’s main photographers shared some pictures from Playas, New Mexico, possibly indicating that some filming is taking place there.

Playas used to have a copper smelter plant before it closed in 1999. The New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology bought the town in 2003 and plans to turn it into an anti-terrorist and security training facility, according to the Hildalgo County website.
Michael Blevins, the trainer to Henry Cavill (Superman), also posted several pictures from the area, including one in Mexico.

Meanwhile, Cavill was spotted in El Paso at a gym this week.
KFOX-TV reported that the gym was temporarily closed so that Cavill could work out in peace.
Batman vs Superman will also star Ben Affleck as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, and Jason Momoa as Aquaman.
The movie is slated to hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
