Baseball field on roof: a baseball field on the roof of a high school in New Jersey has caught the attention of some sports fans.

At Union City High School, baseball players who are a little bored can look off in the distance and have a great view of the surrounding area.

The $173 million field is four stories above ground level and is actually a combined baseball and football field.

While foul balls flying over the side of the roof are common--they’ve damaged cars but no people, yet--the school’s insurance pays for any damage the foul balls cause, according to Max Preps.

Bleachers sit 4,500 at the field. The high school, a three-year public school, has about 3,5000 students, and opened in Sept. 2009.
