The premiere date for the next season of The Bachelor has been revealed by ABC.
The show will continue to air on Mondays, and will premiere on January 5, or the first Monday in January next year.
Chris Soules was officially announced as the next Bachelor this week. Soules got in third in the past season of The Bachelorette, with Andi Dorfman saying that he is a great guy but that she couldn’t reciprocate his feelings.
Soules is a farmer in Iowa in the town of Arlington, which is just 1.05 square miles with a population of 427 according to the latest figures.
The 32-year-old said on Good Morning America after the announcement that he’s “humbled, flattered, and grateful” to be selected.
“My focus is gonna be to make the girls that are on the show as comfortable as possible,” he said.

Soules was chosen to give the show an “anti-Juan Pablo,” the notorious man who starred in the last Bachelor season and came under criticism for his actions, including treating the contestants badly.
Soules was congratulated by many friends on Twitter and Instagram.
“Congrats to my boy @souleschris on becoming the next #Bachelor Easily one of the nicest and most genuine guy I have ever known,” said Nick Sutter.
“Excited for my friend @C_Soules to start his journey to find love. Who wants to be this farmers wife?” said Megan Firestone.
Filming has already begun for the season, although it appears that casting hasn’t been completed yet.
