The choice for the next Bachelor, to be featured on season 19, has been leaked–and it’s Chris Soules.
Reality Steve, the famed Bachelor insider, revealed the news this week.
“It’s official. Chris Soules will be the next ‘Bachelor,'” he said via Twitter.
“Signed contract couple days ago and been filmed the last two days in Iowa.”
Soules is known as the farmer who lives in a small town of just several hundred people.
Arie Luyendyk Jr., a runner-up on The Bachelorette season 8, was considered a top choice for the next Bachelor but producers had said they wanted the “anti-Juan Pablo,” and Soules fits that bill.
Steve previously said that filming typically takes place starting in mid- to late-September. “I expect the same again,” he said.
Marquel Martin was also rumored to be in the running , but apparently he didn’t get the gig. He would’ve been the first black Bachelor or Bachelorette.
The Bachelor 2015 will premiere in January 2015 following the end of filming.
The next Bachelorette will likely be taken from the show.
A reader recently asked Steve what he would do to change the show if he had a chance, prompting an interesting response.
“I’d go with two leads the entire season, with the contestants having chances to date both,” Steve said.
“However, it’s not something they would ever do,” he added.
