The next Bachelor has yet to be chosen but many seem to agree that Chris Soules is the frontrunner for the next season.
A farmer in a small town in Iowa, Soules charmed many women while competing for Andi Dorfman’s heart this last season of the Bachelorette. He ended up in third behind Nick Viall and Josh Murray.
Soules has been named as a top candidate for the Bachelor season 19, which will be filmed later this year and premiere in January 2015, but hasn’t been confirmed as the choice yet.
Marquel Martin and Ari Lyuendyk Jr. are the other top choices at the moment.
But fan support seems to mostly be for Chris, including from fellow contestants on the franchise. Marcus Grodd, who is on Bachelor in Paradise after also being eliminated by Andi, voiced his support recently.
“Campaign for @C_Soules for #Bachelor! No better man that I know who deserves to find love!” he told fans via Twitter.
Lacy Faddoul--who reportedly is now engaged to Marcus--also voiced support. “#farmerneedsawife @C_Soules has my vote to be the next #bachelor,” she said.
“A lot of debate between @c_soules & Arie as the next bachelor..Arie is from quite a while back..Pick someone recent aka CHRIS,” added fan Stefanie Tebow.
Donna, another Twitter user added: “I think Chris S.will be a breath of fresh Iowa air. Vote for the sexy farmer.”
Some reports are indicating that Chris is confirmed as the next Bachelor, such as this one quoting Cody Sattler, but they appear false for now. Even Reality Steve, who is basically never beaten with Bachelor spoilers, hasn’t confirmed that Chris is the Bachelor.
