A baby boy was delivered at the L'Enfant Plaza metro stop in Washington, D.C. on Thursday morning, according to police

The Metro Transit Police Department confirmed the delivery on its Twitter.

“A baby was just delivered ON THE PLATFORM at L'Enfant Plaza. MTPD on scene. Additional details will follow,” it tweeted.

“L'Enfant update: It’s a boy!” the department later wrote.

“I am so glad l‘enfant was delivered at L’Enfant,” wrote user Kytja Weir on Twitter.
