B. Uma Maheswari, a missing female employee with the Tata Consultancy Services, was found dead at the SPICOT IT Park in Siruseri, India.
Maheswari, a 23-year-old software professinoal, had gone missing on February 13.
Police say that she was murdered, based on a postmortem revealing stab injuries in her stomach and abdomen.
Maheswari, a graduate of the Salem College of Engineering and Technology, was hired during campus recruitment and started with TCS last February, reported the Hindu.
Maheswari typically left work at 11 p.m. via cab but got permission to leave an hour early that night. She was never seen again.
Her roommates, two of her colleagues, reported her missing after she never reached the home they rent in Medavakkam.
