At least four websites--AVG, Avira, Alexa, and Whatsapp--have been hacked on Tuesday by a Palestinian hacker group called KDMS Team.

A message was left on the homepages of the website asking if people have ever heard of Palestine and are aware that it “has been stolen by Zionist.”

The message in full reads:

“We want to tell you that there is a land called Palestine on the earth
This land has been stolen by Zionist
Do you know it ?
Palestinian people has the right to live in peace
Deserve to liberate their land and release all prisoners from israeli jails
We want peace
Long live Palestine”

According to Hacker News, the websites have a common Domain Registrar, Network Solutions. Avira said that it wasn’t hacked, but that Network Solutions was.

“The DNS records of various websites, including those of Avira.com, were changed to point to other domains that do not belong to Avira,” said the company in a statement. “It appears that our account used to manage the DNS records registered at Network Solutions has received a fake password-reset request not being initiated by anyone at Avira.”

“Network Solutions appears to have honored this request and allowed a 3rd party to assume control of our DNS. Using the new credentials the cybercriminals have been able to change the entries to point to their DNS servers. Our internal network has not has not been compromised in any way. As a measure of security we have shut down all exterior services until we have all DNS entries in our possession again.”

AVG released a statement, too:

“AVG can confirm today that it has had a select number of online properties defaced as a result of our domain name system (DNS) registrar being compromised. A number of other companies appear to have been faced with the similar issue. The situation is being further monitored and assessed closely. Customers are our priority, the DNS records have been corrected and AVG is working hard to resume normal service levels to its customer base and continue to protect our customers and their privacy.”

Two days ago, KDMS Team hacked LeaseWeb, one of the world’s biggest hosting companies.

On Tuesday morning, the group posted a message via Twitter saying: “#leaseweb #alexa #redtube #avg #avira #whatsapp #hacked #palestinianhackers.”

“Peace from #Palestine, The Stolen Land,” the group tweeted soon after.

The group is reportedly affiliated with Anonymous.

AVG Technologies is a company that produces free antivirus and anti-spyware security software for Windows.

Avira also produces security software.

Alexa provides information about websites, such as internet traffic statistics and online reviews.

Whatsapp is a messaging app for mobile phones.
