Australia is facing Ecuador in an international friendly football (soccer) game on Wednesday, March 5 (March 6 in Australia).

The teams will play at The Den in London, home to the Millwall Football Club.

Kick-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. GMT (7 a.m. AEDT).

The game will be live streamed on Fox Sports 3 Australia--including a 30 minute pre-match show--and Fox Sports Cono Sur, DIRECTV Ecuador, and Fox Sports HD in Ecuador.

It will also be broadcast on Fox Sports Cono Sur and Fox Sports HD in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay; beIN Sports en Espanol in the United States; and Watch ESPN Brasil in Brazil.

Australia is coming off two wins--over Costa Rica and Canada--after losing to France, Brazil, and China.

Ecuador is coming off two ties--with Honduras and Argentina--after losing to Chile, beating Uruguay, and tying with Bolivia.

Neither team has played since November 2013.

Ecuador, ranked 23rd in the FIFA World Rankings, is favored to win.

It’s the first match between the teams at the full international level.

Australian coach Ange Postecoglou said in an interview published on the Football Federation of Australia website that he’s looking forward to the competition.

“We’re excited to have secured the match against Ecuador, which offers us a good test against South American opposition leading into the World Cup,” Postecoglou said.

“We have tried to secure opponents for the games leading into the World Cup to replicate the type of football we are expecting to face in Brazil and playing Ecuador gives us some quality South American opposition ahead of the first group stage match against Chile. This is also the last match we will play before we get together in May for our final World Cup preparations so it’s important that we can build on the first positive steps we took in the match against Costa Rica late last year.”

After this match, Australia goes on to face Croatia on March 7 while Ecuador faces the Netherlands in May.

World Cup matches begin in June, with Australia facing Chile, the Netherlands, and Spain to begin.

Ecuador starts off with matches against England, Switzerland, and Honduras.
