Aruna Goundai, enjoyed an evening at Shen Yun

AUCKLAND, New Zealand—Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company celebrated its final performance at Auckland’s Civic Theatre on Saturday, Feb. 9.

The renowned classical Chinese dance and music company thrilled the audience at the Civic Theatre with dancers and musicians who are top talent chosen from countries worldwide.

The aim of the New York-based company is to revive and restore China’s 5,000-year-old cultural heritage.

Aruna Goundai, a banking advisor, summed up her experience. “It’s really good. ... The backdrop is excellent,” she said.

Shen Yun’s artists have created backdrops that can transport the audience to another realm by using state-of-the-art digital technology, the website says.
