Attorney: ‘The artistic presentation was exceptional’

“Every scene was a complete new picture. A change in color changed the atmosphere. All this is what I’m taking away with me and I’m anxious to incorporate these feelings in my paintings,” said Mr. Malzer.

BERLIN—The Shen Yun Performing Arts artists were welcomed to perform at the International Congress Centre (ICC) for a second time in 2012 on March 17.

Mr. Jurgen Milinski, an attorney, and his wife, Ms. Ute Milinski were impressed with the New York based Shen Yun artists and said that they would see the show again when it comes back to Berlin in 2013.

“The artistic presentation was exceptional, the costumes were amazing. The choreography was outstanding and just about everything impressed us,” said Mr. Milinski.

His wife agreed and added a few words, “The show is definitely worth seeing and enjoyable. I don’t know much about China, but the music and the belief expressed by the artists gave me a great impression of that country.” According to its website Shen Yun was established by overseas Chinese artists in order to revive their authentic cultural heritage, which was suppressed and nearly destroyed under communist rule in China.

Speaking of the dance Snowflakes Welcoming Spring Mr. Milinski said he thought there was some spiritual “content expressed, which I definitely can accept and respect.”

‘A change in color changed the atmosphere’

Rene Malzer, a painter and illustrator, was inspired by the Shen Yun and hoped to incorporate something he saw in it into his artwork.

For Mr. Malzer, who is most interested in the connection between human beings and nature, the combination of colors, costumes and the harmony between music and dance is what she will most remember from the Shen Yun show.

“It all depends on the combination. Every scene was a complete new picture. A change in color changed the atmosphere. All this is what I’m taking away with me and I’m anxious to incorporate these feelings in my paintings,” said Mr. Malzer.

He definitely will recommend the show to others and said that he will tell those he knows “It truly is worth your time to see this show.”

New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts has three touring companies that perform simultaneously around the world. Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company will next perform in Zurich, Switzerland from March 23-25.
