The New York Yankees (74-53) used a three-run second inning and three relievers to top the Indians 4–2 Sunday in Cleveland.

Freddy Garcia lasted four and two-thirds innings, surrendering both runs, but striking out six. Boone Logan, David Robertson, and Rafael Soriano closed the door on the Indians, shutting them out the rest of the way.

Nick Swisher had three hits to lead all Yankees as the team had 11 in total, including two hits with runners in scoring position.

Ichiro Suzuki had a pair of singles, an RBI, and scored as part of the three-run second that won the game.
