In an interview with ComicBook composer and film editor John Ottman spoke about looking forward to working with producer and now-confirmed director Bryan Singer on the upcoming “X-Men: Apocalypse” film.

“I think it’s pretty well known, or announced, that [Bryan] is directing it,” Ottman confirmed.

He was he’s more than excited himself to get back to the X-Men franchise.

“The notion of walking right back into something like this is overwhelming. I’d like to smell a few roses, as they say, but I’m sure I’ll start getting itchy and wanting to get back into it because it’s a world that’s hard to resist,” Ottman said.

Singer, who was the director for the first two X-Men films, allegedly dropped out of the third one, the most recent “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” because of a scandal that transpired during the time of the film promotion.

Child model, plaintiff Michael Egan III, accused the “X-Men” director of sexually abusing him in 1999 in Hawaii, when he was 17. A federal judge in Hawaii will consider whether to throw out a sex abuse lawsuit against “X-Men” franchise director Bryan Singer after his attorneys presented information that neither the filmmaker nor his accuser were in the state at the time.

The case was filed in April of 2014, and was said to threaten Singer’s return to the film, according to ComicBook.
