The world’s tallest man, Bao Xishun from Inner Mongolia, China, has finally married. Just a few days ago, Bao wed Xia Shujuan, having only met her after the Chinese New Year. While the couple shares a pronounced gap in height, there is also a significant gap in their age.

Because he is so tall, Bao had trouble finding a wife and remained a single man well into his fifties. But his bachelor days are behind him now. Born in 1979, his new bride stands 1.68 meters (5 ft. 6 in.).

While Xia is fairly tall by Chinese female standards, she looks really timid and lovable standing beside the giant Bao.

Bao Xishun, a herdsman from Wengniute Banner, Chifeng City in Inner Mongolia, was born in 1951. Standing at an impressive 2.36 meters (7 ft. 8.95 in.) tall, Bao was recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the naturally-grown tallest living man in the world in 2005.
