George Smith IV’s death in the summer of 2005 dominated the news cycle.

The young man was killed at age 26 after he mysteriously fell off the cruise ship he riding with his new wife, Jennifer Hagel-Smith.

Though circumstances were suspicious, Hagel was never charged with any crime, and was allegedly passed out drunk in a hallway on the ship and not with her husband when he fell to his death.

She actually reached a $1.1 million settlement with Royal Caribbean after the death, and re-married in 2009. Now Jennifer Agne, married to financial analyst Jeff Agne, she has two daughters.

The FBI finally dropped its criminal investigation into George Smith’s death earlier this year. No one has been charged with a crime in the case.

Jennifer has fully moved on from his death, but his family has not. Jennifer is estranged from them because they believe she knows something she isn’t talking about.

At the time of the death, Jennifer told authorities that her husband must have slipped off the balcony while drinking and smoking.

But a bloodstain found outside George’s room, and other evidence, left many questions unanswered.

“Due in part to Jennifer Hagel Agne’s selective amnesia, we still do not know who murdered George, and justice has eluded us,” George’s family said on a Facebook page they maintain that is dedicated to the deceased.
