So many typical wedding dress designs say “summer” with their lace and bare shoulders. But if you have your heart set on a winter wedding, you have great design options and wonderful fabric choices.

Think of a white wool—which is elegant and at the same time warm—or rich, heavy satin, and luxurious fur or feather trim adding depth instead of the open spaces of summer lace. Go really Nordic and have a hooded cape as part of your bridal outfit, and a muff to slide your hands into when you’re not holding hands with your beloved.
