Apple’s WWDC 2015 keynote was an extremely long presentation that was packed full of details about its upcoming new software and services.

As long as the event was, however, it could have been 10 times longer and Apple still wouldn’t have had enough time to fit in all of the great new features it added to its two software platforms, iOS and OS X.

Where iOS is concerned, Apple ran through some terrific-looking top-level highlights, but developers (and everyone else with an Apple developer account) have now had plenty of time to dig through the first iOS 9 beta, so details on new features that Apple didn’t cover at WWDC continue to trickle out.

We’ve run a few posts that cover nifty iOS 9 features that Apple didn’t reveal on stage, but Business Insider has combed through them all to come up with what it has deemed to be the 10 “most important” ones.

We’re not entirely sure we agree on all fronts — there are some pretty important new features that aren’t on the list — but there’s no question that each of the 10 items on the list will be welcomed with open arms by iPhone users this coming fall when iOS 9 is released to the public.

First up, the keyboard in iOS 9 is brand new and you can actually tell when you’re about to type a capital letter. iOS 8’s keyboard is pictured above, and users have been complaining about it forever. In iOS 9, the letters on the keys finally switch from lowercase to uppercase as you type, so you know exactly what to expect.
