The 22-month long investigation into Russian interference during the 2016 election essentially cleared President Donald Trump of both charges of collusion and obstruction. On Thursday, April 18, Attorney General Bill Barr made another announcement on this before the public release of Robert Muller’s long-awaited report.

On April 22, during the annual White House Easter Egg Roll, one of the President’s chief advisers, Kellyanne Conway repeated to reporters the sentiment that Donald Trump was vindicated with the conclusion of the Russia investigation, and that the continued push by Democrats to investigate the President’s personal life further will actually end up helping him politically. In an interview with reporters, Conway said, “[Democrats] are going to hand this reelection to him. Have at it. I‘ll see you for five more Easter Egg Rolls, we’ll have a ball.”
