According to rally organizer Rabbi Friedman, “Over the past few years Hamas has launched thousands of rockets at cities and towns in Southern Israel. They used the past ‘cease-fire’ to re-arm and build rockets and now have close to one million Israeli citizens within range. Would any country in the world allow its citizens to be endangered and victims of incessant attacks launched by a terrorist group?”
Hamas is listed as a terrorist organization by the Unites States government, as well as Canada and the European Union.
Councilman Weprin stated that “In order for peace in the region to be achieved Hamas must be defeated and removed from power … Israeli lives have been and continue to be lost, at the hands of Hamas because they have a total disregard for life.”
