Monday, August 17

The pick for tonight is “Fixer,” a documentary featured at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival.

Jeremy, James, and Richard are back to tinker around with cars. In the opener, the three head to the Isle of Man to test out an Aston Martin V8 Vantage, BMW M6, and Porsche 911.

Fixer: The Taking of Ajmal Naqshbandi
HBO
9:00—10:30 p.m.
Journalists often rely on a “fixer” or a local to help guide them when traveling abroad. This documentary follows the story of Ajmal Naqshbandi, a fixer in Afghanistan, who was kidnapped along with an Italian journalist by the Taliban.

Hoarders
A&E
10:00—11:00 p.m.
A&E tackles another psychological disorder in “Hoarders.” The first episode profiles Jennifer and Ron, a married couple, who have stuffed their small home with piles of junk and are worried that child protective services may take their kids away.

Tuesday, August 18

Also on tonight, the “Saving Grace” season finale on TNT at 10:00 p.m.

If you haven’t gotten enough of Octomom in the tabloids, FOX is dedicating two hours to her story tonight (8:00—10:00 p.m.).

The competition moves to Las Vegas for the sixth season of this popular show and brings along guest judges including actress, Natalie Portman.

“Wide Angle” takes a look at children orphaned by a 2008 Category 4 cyclone in Burma.

Thursday, August 20

After a drawn out battle with Bravo over the rights to “Project Runway,” the show finds its new home on Lifetime.

Three hours of “Project Runway!” In the first two hours, past favorites, including Daniel Vosovic and Santino, come back to compete in an “All Star Challenge.” In the third hour, “Project Runway” moves to Los Angeles to usher in a new cast along with celebrity judge, Lindsay Lohan.

Friday, August 21

Set the dial to Animal Planet tonight since its one of the few networks with new programming. Season two of Jockey’s follows Whale Wars at 10:00 p.m.

Joan Cusack stars in this tele-film about parents trying to help their daughter navigate the college admissions process. The film is based on the book “Acceptance: A Novel” by Susan Coll.

Sunday, August 23

Merlin

In the season finale, Merlin tries to save Arthur, after he is bitten by a “Questing Beast,” a monster with the body of a lion and head of a serpent.

Miss Universe Pageant
