Watertown, Mass., photos show residents’ tension and anxiety amid a massive lockdown and the police manhunt for the second Boston Marathon bombing suspect.
According to USA Today, many local residents had their homes, porches, and yards searched by FBI tactical team members. It was “very unnerving,” one resident told the paper.
The entire Boston area was locked down, with authorities telling residents to stay inside. They also suspended bus services, train services, and taxis.
A no-fly zone was also initiated over Watertown, according to NBC News.
The second suspect, 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is believed to still be in the area and heavily armed, reported NBC News. His brother, Tamerlan, was shot and killed earlier on Friday during a police standoff.
